Walk: Aylesbury Town Centre – Connected Squares and High Street opportunities.

Our host will be Diana Fawcett, Town Centre Manager, AVDC (Two tour times: 11.15am or 12.15pm)

A unique opportunity to walk around Aylesbury town centre and experience the changing face of this town as new projects come on stream and regeneration projects become live. The walking tour will include the recently opened Exchange, funded by the AVDC development partner Durkan and £3.3m of the Local Growth Fund.

The walk will include an overview of Market Square which has recently been awarded a £4.5m package of improvements. These projects will form part of a central plan to develop the town as new communities and settlements are built. We shall also visit the memorial to the singer David Bowie who performed in the Friars Club in 1972.
